Maley Drive Public Information Meeting

Arranged by CARP (Canadian Association of Retired Persons- Sudbury Chapter) and Friendly to Seniors - Sudbury

Feature Presentation  “Maley Drive - Moving a City”  by Thomas Price

Potentially the largest and most expensive road project in Sudbury History the Maley Drive “extension” has created recent controversy. Since the original concept over 30 years ago there is concern as to actual need and expense. Many citizens do not know exactly what the “extension” involves, where it is located and what is its purpose. Can we afford the cost, especially if it involves an increase in taxes?

Mr. Price has had extensive private and public experience internationally in engineering process analysis and will provide an in-depth review of the Maley Drive “extension” as it relates to present traffic patterns and possible future needs in Sudbury. There will be the opportunity to ask questions.

Thursday February 26 - 7:00 p.m.

Canadian Legion Branch 76
1533 Weller Street - Minnow Lake
No Charge to Attend

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
