Greater Sudbury Eart th Day 10 Anniversary Festival invites local community engagement

SUDBURY – reThin k Green is pleased to announce the 10 th Anniversary of the Gr reater
Sudbury Earth Day Festival, and we invite local and multi-cultural partners to make this milestone event a success.

Marking the beginning of festiva l season in Greater Sudbury, the Greater Sudbury Earth Day Festival will take place Saturday, April 25 , 10 am-3:00 pm at Sudbury Secondary School in downtown Sudbury.

This year, we are focused on collaboraative working for change, including a 10-year retrospective to honour highlights achieved in the Greater Sudbury area for the health of the planet, and hopes and dreams for the next 10 years. "We are excited to make this one of the best Earth Day celebrations yet, and look forward to working with groups and businesses across the city to offer a diverse day of learning and celebration for the earth," says Sara-Jo Pipher, one of the Co-ordinators fo this year's event.

The organizers welcome applications from vendors and exhibitors, and organizational and business sponsors. Forms and information regarding fees, sponsorship levels, and logistics can be found at www.earthdaysudbury.ca. Please note Early Bird Prices end March 1st. We also invite entertainers and volunteers who would like to be part of the day to contact us at the co-ordinates below.

We are pleased to confirm that Pierre Harrison of PLAYLearnThink will provide a dynamic and educational Children's "Reuse for Play" Area focused on recycled materials. There will be a mainstage with entertainment, performance and storytelling; hands-on workshops, demonstrations and discussions to enact meaningful change; fabulous local food; an electric car display and engagement area, ecological building display & approaches, environmentally-oriented services, projects, tools, and programs; a Quiet Corner with yoga, a walking labrynth, arts, and other reflective activities.
