Sometimes the little things in life make the biggest impact!  Support Project Impact through crowdfunding. We can’t do it without you!

For immediate release.

Sudbury, January 19, 2016 - Ever had an idea, shared it and then saw it become reality with the support of others who believed in you? That’s life changing! Want to be part of this? It’s easy through crowdfunding at projectimpact.ca.

Project Impact is at it again, encouraging people of all ages to think of creative projects they would like to complete with others in their community. We’d like to fund as many projects as possible! That’s where you come in and why we are crowdfunding.  Donate to Project Impact for a warm, fuzzy feeling for helping make great local projects happen, and some awesome perks.

Passes for local festivals, posters and postcards, a draw for dinner for two at the delectable Tuco’s Tacos…the list goes on.   Want to double your impact?  We'll match the first 5 donations of $100.  Donate $250 and a computer will be donated in your name to NOAH’s S.P.A.C.E. or the Louis Street Community Association.   Check out all the community-minded perks at projectimpact.ca and donate online with paypal or credit card.  Charitable tax receipts available for donation of $50 or over.

Our goal is to collect $5000 to fund at least 10 projects. The more donations, the more projects will be funded. Last year, you funded 9 projects, which were completed by children, teenagers and adults having fun working together - that’s building community!

“Last year people donated hundreds of dollars because the proposed projects really excited and inspired people. We know Sudburians will come through again with their generosity and love of community,” said Lilly Noble, co-chair of Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury.

Want to be inspired or come up with your own idea? See what your community supported last year at http://projectimpact.ca/2015-winning-projects/. The deadline for project applications is January 30th.  Projects will be presented to the community and voted on at the beginning of March.

Project Impact is organized by Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury.  The Social Planning Council of Sudbury joins us as a partner on this project.  A big thank you to our many donors of perks for this crowdfunding campaign.

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
