At the Earth Day Festival, held April 26, Lisa McIvor shared her thoughts on what she loves about Sudbury and what positive changes she would love to see. She focused on access to nature, being on the water, how important it is for kids to have free play outside, and water conservation as a way of life.

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op is creating independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media. Contact the Sudbury Working Group at email@example.com or follow us on Facebook.

We encourage local grassroots groups to submit content about their work, issues and events. We also have resources available to help grassroots groups get their message out. Find out more here.
