MEDIA RELEASE: 'Rich Man Poor Man Dinner' on April 11

Blog posts reflect the views of their authors.

Have you ever gone a full day without a meal or gone to bed hungry?
According to the United Nations, 1 in 7 people are undernourished worldwide.

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) Student Global Health Interest Group invites you to experience a glimpse of the food disparities affecting our world today, with our inaugural 'Rich Man Poor Man Dinner' on April 11, 2013. One person out of every table of 8 will randomly receive an extravagant rich man's meal, and the rest will receive a vegetarian meal which is representative of 90% of the world's population.

Come enjoy an evening of inspirational talks, great music and food! Our guest speakers, Dr. Kabwe Nkongolo and Doreen Ojala will be speaking on international and local food security. ALL PROCEEDS from the event will go towards Sudbury’s local The Foodshed Project!

Tickets available by e-mailing globalhealthnosm@gmail.com by April 1! .

We look forward to seeing you there!
Sincerely,
The NOSM Student Global Health Interest Group

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
