Blog posts reflect the views of their authors.

November 26, 2013                                     FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Northern Lights Festival Boréal is proud to partner with local indie rock group The Almighty Rhombus in order to present an exciting indoor indie music festival Feb.-Mar. 2, 2014.  The event has been titled ‘The Big Basement Show’, with the artistic lineup selected by The Almighty Rhombus. Organizers are excited to announce the second round of acts on the roster: Sudbury’s popular PISTOL GEORGE WARREN, Toronto powerpop quartet PINK WINE, Sudbury-based, internationally successful STRANGE ATTRACTOR, and finally, MARINE DREAMS, the new project of ATTACK IN BLACK’S IAN KEHOE. This is in addition to the previously announced PUBLIC ANIMAL and BA JOHNSTON. The event is a celebration of the indie music scene, locally and beyond. For NLFB, this is one more great opportunity to present music filled with diversity. Earlybird tickets are on sale now at Ticketbreak.com or at the Facebook event page for ‘The Big Basement Show’.

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
