“Greetings media,
The Almighty Rhombus has been hard at work scheming and conniving to take over
all facets of the music industry. Now that we have announced the complete lineup for
our festival, THE BIG BASEMENT SHOW, our plan is starting to come to fruition. Quite
simply, it’s the most important local cultural event in the past five years. Don’t worry, we
plan on being benevolent dictators.
We have all kinds of awesome surprises planned for people when they come to THE
BIG BASEMENT SHOW. Following are just a few of those ideas. We’ll be decorating the
basement of Theatre Cambrian like a giant rec room, complete with the sort of things
you’d expect to find in a rec room like wood paneling, video game systems, couches,
coffee tables, vintage exercise equipment and musical instruments. Canadian indie
veteran BA Johnston will not only be performing at the festival, he’ll be the emcee for
the entire weekend. We’ll be providing a few video cameras so that anyone who is
interested can videotape their experience. In addition, the complete lineup is chock
full of the hottest bands in the Canadian indie scene. Here it is:
Friday, Feb. 28 At the Townehouse Tavern
11PM – Coast Redwood
