Cambrian College Open House features comedian James Cunningham

SUDBURY ― On April 5, faculty, staff and students at Cambrian College will welcome thousands of visitors to explore the campus and learn about all of the programs and services at Cambrian during the College’s Spring Open House. Comedian James Cunningham will provide the laughs during a full day of interactive experiences.

“With so many activities, games and prizes, this year’s Open House will be like none other,” Jean-Guy Robichaud, Director of Student Success and Recruitment, explains. “Prospective students, applicants, families and friends will find that there is something for everyone”

“To show off our fun side, James Cunningham fuses humour and learning to teach prospective students about the financial realities of postsecondary education,” Robichaud continues. “His engaging presentation helps students to prepare for postsecondary and new financial independence.”

Faculty and staff will be available all day to answer questions and to help prospective students explore different program options. A free lunch is provided.

“We want future students from across the province to experience the wonderful, caring atmosphere that Cambrian and Sudbury have to offer,” Sonia Del Missier, Interim President, says. “Faculty, staff and current students will be available all day to give tours, host interactive presentations, and to answer any questions they may have. It’s a can’t-miss day of discovery for prospective students and their families.”

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
