Join the Committee for a Green Creek Walk
The Junction Creek Stewardship Committee would like to invite everyone to its Green Creek Walk taking place this Saturday, September 27th.
Want to learn more about the history of Junction Creek while you hike along the trail? Here's your chance to learn more about the creek, the committee and how the trail system fits in the City's vision for a sustainable community.
We will be meeting downtown at the bus depot at 9am, where you'll receive a free transit ticket to board the bus and head on over to the Martindale Rd entrance of the trail. From there, enjoy a guided hike back to downtown with information stops along the way.
As part of the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee's 15 Year Anniversary, there will be a live concert creekside at the end of the hike with Billy Bison and the Rodeo Clowns. Even if you can't make the hike, come on out at the end of St. Catherines Street at 10:30am and come listen!
The hike will take place rain or shine so come dressed for the weather. Once done, you can walk back downtown and enjoy some local treats at the market or grab a bite to eat at any of the local restaurants. This is a free event and everyone is welcome!

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
