You are invited…to make an impact!

Join us for Project Impact, March 7, 1-4 p.m. at the Parkside Centre, or cast your vote for your favourite community projects at your local library or on-line.

For Immediate Release

Sudbury, March 3, 2015 – Join us in supporting small projects that make a big difference, and be a part of making good things happen in your community!

From around Greater Sudbury, neighbours and local groups are pitching all sorts of wonderful projects that will make our community better.  Now it’s up to you.  It’s time to vote for your favourites!    The projects with the most votes will receive funding and volunteer time.

Come out for Project Impact, March 7, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Parkside Centre (140 Durham) to get inspired, connect in person, and cast your vote.

-   see groups present their projects and see what inspires you,

-  connect in person, exchange ideas, or choose a project you’d like to get involved with,

-  cast your vote for the projects you most want to see happen

-  share your ideas for great community projects,

-  enjoy refreshments, door prizes & kids’ activities,

- add to the ‘pot’ so more projects can be funded

All ages welcome and included!

Or vote March 9-15 at your local library, or on-line.  You can find the Project Impact display at your library branch, or vote on-line at liveablesudbury.org, the week of March 9.

You can see the full list of projects and find out more at:  http://www.liveablesudbury.org/projectimpact.html

“I am so excited by the amazing project ideas, and the energy and enthusiasm to make good things happen,” said Naomi Grant, chair of Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury.  “That will only grow as the wider community gets involved.  All of us have the opportunity to make a positive difference where we live.”

About Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury – we are a grassroots network of citizen groups and individuals who share a vision of Sudbury as a green, healthy and engaged community. For more information, please contact us at clsudbury@live.com, call 705-691-5538 or visit www.liveablesudbury.org

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
