Sudbury Federal Green Party Association Announces Candidate Nomination Date

The Sudbury Federal Green Party Association will be holding a nomination meeting to select a candidate for the 2015 general election or an earlier by-election, should one be called.

The meeting will take place on Monday, March 23rd at 6:00 PM at the Green Room, 3rd Floor, reThink Green, 176 Larch Street, downtown Sudbury.

Laurentian University associate professor of economics and recent Green Party of Ontario candidate for the Sudbury by-election Dr. David Robinson will face off against a “none of the above” option, as all Green Party nomination contestants are required to do.

The meeting is open to all, but voting will be restricted to members in good standing.

Dr. Robinson will be available to speak with the media after the nomination contest has concluded.

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
