Sudbury knows how to celebrate!

SUDBURY – French Canadian national day once again inspires widespread community celebrations in Greater Sudbury. Additional details can be found on

Come celebrate St-Jean and Father’s Day on Sunday June 21st

Come celebrate at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Family Day, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Collège Boréal. Join us for a day full of games, cooking classes and much more! Great prizes to be won and there is something for everyone! There will also be a special show for kids (free admission) at 2pm in the concert hall at Collège Boréal.

About the concert (in French only):

A worm that talks about compost, an ant that organizes meetings with deprived insects, a spider that speaks of the importance of art, a dove who renovates reusing materials, a disabled butterfly who kept his courage despite the difficulties, a centipede that advocates public transit ..... after drinking a magic juice, Anne-Lune shrinks and falls into a compost bin. This is where the adventure begins! She meets characters who give her the ingredients for the recipe that will allow her to get back to her normal size. With a dozen catchy songs, the singer and storyteller, Anne-Lune, takes the kids along with her on her amazing adventure. Guaranteed fun! </p />

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
