Description: M&M Meats Shop on Lasalle is hosting a charity BBQ, to support Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer. Come out on Saturday April 20th to the Super Mall from 11am-4pm for M&M’s Grand Opening, and purchase a hamburger or hotdog and support local families in our community. NOFCC is not government funded; it is a non-profit organization based out of Sudbury and serves over 300 families a year in Northern Ontario who have a child diagnosed with cancer. After diagnosis a family loses approximately 1/3 of their after-tax income due to having to travel for treatment, NOFCC helps these families with their immediate financial needs, and offers educational and emotional support. 100% of the proceeds for this event will go directly to families of the NOFCC. About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
