MEDIA RELEASE: Sudbury and District Chapter of Autism Ontario World Autism Day dinner

Blog posts reflect the views of their authors.

World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) is April 2nd and our Sudbury and District Chapter of Autism Ontario are joining parents, schools and organizations all around the world to shine some light on Autism.
Our chapter has made 1550 Autism Awareness Packages that will be opened April 2nd in 1550 class rooms reaching 30,000 students in the 114 schools of Sudbury and Districts four School Boards. With the help of the School Boards we are able to send home with the 414 ASD students an information package joining the Sudbury Autism community to our chapter’s resources and an invitation to our 5th WAAD dinner on Tuesday, April 2nd at 5:00pm at the CARUSO CLUB. We have radio, newspaper and TV information spots spreading the message. Please listen to our radio ad and read our poster. Please pass onto your family and friends and keep shinning the light onto Autism Awareness: Support our efforts and donate to our local chapter at http://sudburygetsocial.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1063340

Thank You from Autism Ontario Sudbury and District Chapter

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
