PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

April Rainbow ROUTES Hike Club

Spring is in the air! To encourage families and new hikers to explore some of Sudbury’s trails, the monthly Rainbow ROUTES Hike Club will host tandem hikes: one for those who want a leisurely walk suitable for children AND one for those who like to go further and faster.  To participate in one of these FREE guided hikes on Saturday April 6th, join us at 9:45 a.m. at the Adanac Ski Hill (Beatrice Crescent). The hikes will be approximately two hours long. Both Hike Club groups will explore sections of the Rotary Park Trail, one of Sudbury’s hidden gems in New Sudbury. This trail is part of the Junction Creek Waterway Park and connects all the way to Downtown Sudbury and beyond.  Hikers should wear sturdy, comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing as hikes run in all but the worst of weather.

For more information visit www.RainbowRoutes.com or call the Hike Club Hotline at 705-674-4455 x 2474. To receive updates on upcoming next hikes, email Samantha Baulch at samantha.baulch@sudbury.ca and join the mailing list.    If this hike needs to be canceled, a message will be left on the Hike Club Hotline before 9am the day of the hike. See you on the trails!

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
