The Artists :

Justine Giles is a singer/songwriter from Sudbury, Ontario. Music has always been a large part of her life since she was a child. She attended an arts high school which inspired her to write and follow her passion for music. She took a break from performing for a few years and studied art and design at Cambrian college, but has returned to writing and performing on a regular basis after graduating in 2011. Justine is currently working on her first album, set to be released in late 2013. https://www.facebook.com/justinegilesmusic

Trevor Laalo is a Northern Ontario artist currently living/working in Toronto. a bonafied 'crac' alumni, he is returning to premiere excerpts of his new one man show, 'the glitter confessional'. part painting/moving images/audio/installation and spoken word, 'the glitter confessional' strikes at the core of ego and its ramifications. laalo is not scared to expose his raw nerve and flesh on the slab and expects the same of those in attendance. art is not love. love is love. art is war, all the time and if you think its not, youre losing! 'the glitter confessional' live at le crac friday july 26th.

Mercedes Cueto is a local artist her new works are a collection of mixed media collages that will be for sale. These new works are a body of intimate portraits from the artists personal interests , hand drawn images , text and discarded objects that are broken visual narratives . Cueto refers to them as quirky hallmark designs that never made it to print.

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
