“Opinions” – A production of Friendly to Seniors – Sudbury
Friendly to Seniors – Sudbury, an older adult advocacy group has produced the first in what will be a planned series of half hour productions dealing with a number of important issues to be considered during this municipal election year in the City of Greater Sudbury.
The production is called “Opinions” which according to program producer and host John Lindsay, who is also chair of Friendly to Seniors – Sudbury, is going to feature the views of a variety of citizens on topics of concern to all residents of the area.
Guest on the first program is Vally Laflamme, a Sudbury native with a long standing interest in local matters. Her “opinions” likely reflect the views of many Sudbury residents.
The first program which can be viewed on youtube at http://youtu.be/BIy4E46r2cg and accessed through the organizations website www.friendlytoseniors.ca deals with the importance of this year’s local elections and opinions related to the number of candidates new vs old.
Topics also discussed include the closing of various businesses in the downtown, parking and snow removal. Also touched upon are transportation issues and “opinions” related to the proposed new casino.
These and other issues will be discussed on future programs, and that discussion and debate will be forthcoming as a result.
Those viewing the production have the opportunity to express their opinions as well through e-mail to opinons.fts@gmail.com.

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
