Sudbury, February 25, 2014 – Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury is excited to announce the launch of Chez Nous on the Rocks, a video project exploring what makes Greater Sudbury a great place to live and what would make it even better.
What do you love about living in Greater Sudbury? What positive vision do you have for the future, and what is needed to get there? What do we really value as a community?

Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury is interviewing a wide range of citizens and sharing their thoughts, dreams and experiences in this video project. “One of the great things about our work is that we meet so many amazing people with many different interests, dreams, and life experiences,” says Naomi Grant, Chair of Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury. “We are very excited to be able to share some of their stories.”
Submissions are also being welcomed from citizens and community groups. You don’t have to be a videographer to take part – there are many ways to submit:
1. Upload a video to YouTube (or other platform) and send us the link
2. Use tools available on YouTube to create a video from a collection of photos, and send us the link
3. Send some photos and a short description, and we’ll create the video
4. Send us a power point presentation, and we’ll create the video.
Submissions should be sent to clsudbury@live.com. French submissions also welcome. Under 3 minutes is a good length to keep people’s attention, or roughly a dozen photos or power point slides.
The first theme is “people making good things happen.” “There are so many people and groups making the community better, whether through a project like a community garden, or an event that brings people together,” says Grant. “This is a chance for them to share what they’ve done, so that we can celebrate them together, and learn and be inspired from each other.”
Submissions are also welcome on the general theme of what you love and value about your community, and your positive vision for the future
