The Dance-A-Thon is a fundraiser with no shortage of fun. Participants register online, collect pledges and proceed to dance all night long.... or at least a portion of it! Non-stop music will be curated by DJ Christian Pelletier and guests. Dancers can resister as a team or individually and are encouraged to dress up as there will be a prize for the most styling group! There are many amazing prizes to be won through the night with special prizes reserved for the top pledge earners.
The event takes place on May 31 from 8PM on Saturday to 8AM Sunday at Fromagerie Elgin. The maximum team size is 4 and if dancing isn't your thing you can be a sponsor by making a donation or supporting a dancer. To register or make a donation visit our site http://raiseathon.ca/mythsdance.
This event is about "stepping" up, and down and around, to a fun challenge and supporting artistic programming that makes a big difference in our community. 100% of the proceeds of this event go to support outreach programming at Myths and Mirrors which give opportunities for personal and collective expression to those in our community who rarely get the chance.
Myths and Mirrors helps to build community and gives people a voice through collaborative art making, story sharing and infusing art into our everyday lives. Everyone is welcome. To lea learn more visit www.mythsandmirrors.wordpress.com, or call us at 705 222 1305.

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
