Sudbury's 3rd Annual Makers Market
An Indie Handmade Christmas
Shop Local: Makers Market offers innovative art and pop culture craft.
Sudbury, ON - November 24, 2014 -- The Makers Market will be opening its doors this year on December 7th from 11AM - 4PM at the Open Studio on 93 Cedar Street in downtown Sudbury. After two amazing years the indie craft market has outgrown its start up location and will be at a larger venue to bring you Sudbury's best selection of hip handmades; just in time for the holidays.
The market showcases the work of local, independent artists and crafters. "At the Makers Market you will find a younger generation of artists who are mixing contemporary art and craft with pop culture influences", says organizer Blaire Flynn. Admission is free and all are welcome to browse through treasures including pottery, creative lights, books, jewelry, handmade instruments, toys, fibre art and more.
A Spontaneous Craft Station will be set up for kids and adults to get crafty with the support and inspiration of local artists. Great for the whole family and an excellent opportunity to support local artists while shopping for the holiday season.
For more information visit the Makers Market Facebook page at www.facebook.com/MakersMarketSudbury. To schedule an interview please contact Blaire Flynn at makersmarketsudbury@gmail.com.

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
