Mississaugi First Nation – A peaceful demonstration to create public awareness on the use of herbicides will take place on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Highway 17 in Mississaugi First Nation. With the support and supervision of the Ontario Provincial Police, traffic will be slowed as The Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) Elders Group, along with Sudbury supporters (Stop the Aerial Herbicide Spraying on the Sudbury Forest), hand out flyers to motorists in hopes to garner more support for this issue.

About the Sudbury Working Group

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
