Shop Local at Sudbury’s Makers Market
Indie Craft Fair set for December 6th
Sudbury, ON - November 23, 2015 – The Makers Market is back for another fabulous day of local handmade shopping just in time for the holidays. The craft collective will be opening its doors on Sunday December 6th from 11AM - 4PM at the Parkside Centre, 140 Durham Street, in downtown Sudbury to bring you the best that Sudbury’s handmade community has to offer. The larger location allows for twice as many artists than last years show.
The Makers Market is a collective of artists showcasing the work of independent and emerging artists and crafters in Sudbury while encouraging the larger community to get involved. Local artists are challenging the perception of craft as a retro pastime by creating handmade items with a decidedly modern spin.
Admission is free and all are welcome to browse through treasures including pottery, textiles, instruments, lighting, books, jewelry, and more. Buy handmade this holiday season and meet the excellent artists who have made the gifts you give!
A Spontaneous Craft Station will be set up for kids and adults get creative. This event is great for the whole family and an excellent opportunity to support local artists while shopping for the holiday season.

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
