The #LUBarrie2019 Sudbury Mobilization Committee Calls for a
 
 DAY OF ACTION on APRIL 15 at LU in Sudbury 
 
in SOLIDARITY with Students and Workers of Laurentian Barrie!
The April 15 Day of Action is also the day of the next Board of Governors'
meeting. Students from Barrie will also be joining us that day to protest
the BoG's profit-driven & undemocratic decision to pull out of Barrie at

the expense of hundreds of students, faculty and other workers.
 
If you represent a group that wants to support this struggle,
contact us to endorse the April 15 Day of Action and/or participate
in the open and democratic Mobilization Committee (Mobcom).
 
 WE ARE ALSO ORGANIZING A PUBLIC FORUM... 
to build support for this fight and connect it to broader
attacks on the quality and conditions of education, in
particular for working-class and oppressed groups.

This will be a presentation & panel discussion followed by
an open-floor speak-out, slated for the end of March or
start of April at LU in Sudbury. There will be speakers
from the Barrie campus as well.

We invite all campus groups and individuals interested in
sharing their perspectives on fighting program and service
cuts, and more broadly resisting capitalist austerity at the
University to contact us to participate on the panel.

The Sudbury working-group of The Media Co-op was formed to create independent media in the North, to speak to our issues and outlooks on our communities as well as the world around us. Independent media provides an avenue for people who are wishing to gain critical perspective on the issues that matter most to us, and to give a voice to those people and stories that you won't find in the mainstream media.
