This is when we take all the great vision and ideas from our AGM and decide what we're taking on for the year. So come share some food, meet good people, and help us chart our course for the year.

Friday, September 18: 10th Annual Anishnawbe Kweg Water Journey
Time: 6am to 9am (and then potluck feast later in the day -- see below)
Location: Ramsey Lake, Sudbury
Walk for the Water!
Relay style journey around Bitigamasing/Ramsey Lake to raise awareness of the sacredness of our water and the need to respect and protect our Water.
Friday September 18th
6 am: Sunrise ceremony at the tipi at Founder's Square, Laurentian University
Followed by the ceremonial walk around Bitigamasing/Ramsey Lake. Check points along the way for walkers to join and depart, with shuttle assistance (map and schedule to come). Those coming later than 6 am can park along the path or park at wait at Canisius Hall. Shuttle service will be provided for during or after the walk.
1 pm: Potluck Feast, Canisius Hall, University of Sudbury, $6 parking available.
Please bring a skirt, grandmother drums and shakers, snacks, WATER, giveaway gift and your favourite dish for the feast.

Call for get-out-the-vote volunteers from Council of Canadians - Sudbury
The Sudbury Chapter of the Council of Canadians is looking for volunteers to assist in our campaign to encourage folks to get out and vote on October the 19th. With just slightly more than 60% of eligible voters voting in the previous federal election and with only one third of youth voters exercising their rights, the Council of Canadians is, through a variety of measures, trying to encourage more people to vote especially in this very important election. The result can have a very significant impact on the future of this country. Those people that are interested in making a contribution are asked to contact Andre Clement at andredrc57@gmail.com.
